Born in April 2021, Initiative Tilé is an LBQ organization born of the desire of two activists with a vision to bring fresh perspectives to the LGBTQ+ movement in general, but above all to raise the profile of LBQ women and bring to light their realities and challenges. We focus on matters relating to human rights, education, financial autonomy and socio-professional integration. In November 2022, we launched “radio tilé” to promote the right to information, and to raise awareness of and advocate against GBV, violence based on sexual orientation and within women’s couples, as well as STIs and HIV/AIDS.
Their mission is to contribute to a more just and equitable Africa, respectful of human rights and fair to all, regardless of religion, ethnic origin, gender identity or sexual orientation.
